Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect:

• Account information: name, email address, profile photo, and login identifiers from the sign-in method you choose (email, Google, or Apple).
• Content you provide: prompts, messages to Director, scripts, story details, and the photos, videos, audio, and documents you choose to upload or attach. The iOS app can show your photo library on your device so you can pick items; nothing is uploaded until you select it.
• Content we generate for you: images, videos, audio, scripts, storyboards, and other outputs, with project metadata.
• Sharing and community activity: Films you choose to share publicly, the name and profile photo shown with them, and your likes, saves, reports, and blocks.
• Billing information: plan, credit, and transaction records. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe, not by us.
• Device and usage information: IP address, device and browser type, app version, logs, a push notification token if you allow notifications, and, if you allow optional product analytics, how you use features.
• Support messages and feedback.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, or health data.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• provide the Service, including generating content with AI models at your request;
• create and maintain your account and sign you in;
• process payments, credits, and subscriptions;
• show the Films you choose to share and your public creator profile;
• send notifications you have allowed, such as when Director finishes your request;
• respond to support requests;
• keep the Service safe: review reported content, apply blocks, and detect fraud, abuse, misuse, and security issues;
• improve reliability and product quality, including through optional analytics where you allow it;
• improve and develop Vixel's features and models;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Third-Party AI Providers

To write scripts and generate images, video, and audio, we send the information each request needs — your prompts and messages, story details, and the photos, videos, or other material you attach — to third-party AI model providers. Depending on the model used, these include OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, MiniMax, ByteDance, Kuaishou, and HeyGen, reached directly or through model-routing services that connect us to them; some of them operate outside the United States. They process this information to return results for your request.

In the iOS app, nothing is sent to these providers until you allow it. You can withdraw this permission at any time in Settings › Privacy; Director cannot create while it is off. Withdrawing does not recall requests already sent.

Only upload images, video, or voice recordings of another person if you have their permission, and never of a real child (see Section 10).

4. Payments

Payments are handled by third-party processors such as Stripe. Purchases you start in our iOS app are completed with Stripe on our website, not with Apple. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, device storage, and related technologies for sign-in, security, product performance, analytics, and preferences. You can change optional analytics in "Your privacy choices" on our website or in Settings › Privacy in the iOS app. You can also control cookies through your browser, though disabling some may affect how the Service works.

6. Sharing of Information

We share information only as described here:

• Service providers that help us operate the Service: hosting, databases and storage, authentication (including Google and Apple sign-in), email, analytics (Google Analytics, where you allow it), payments (Stripe), push notifications (Apple Push Notification service), and the AI providers in Section 3. They may use the information only to provide their services to us, and we require them to protect it in a manner consistent with this Policy.
• Public content: Films you share publicly, with your display name and profile photo, can be seen by anyone, including in the iOS app's Feed. Withdrawing a Film removes it from public view.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect users, the public, or the Service.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell your personal information for cash consideration in the ordinary course of operating Vixel. Our iOS app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.

You can delete your account at any time in the iOS app (Settings › Delete account) or by emailing support@vixelai.com. When you do, your plan stops renewing, your shared Films leave public view, and you are signed out everywhere right away. Within 30 days we erase your account, projects, uploads, generated content, and other personal data.

We keep only what we must to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (such as payment records), resolve disputes, and prevent fraud and abuse, and only for as long as required. Reports you filed may be kept to support moderation decisions. Copies in backups are removed on our normal backup schedule. Information already sent to AI providers for a request is handled under their own retention policies.

8. Your Choices and Rights

• Optional analytics: turn off in "Your privacy choices" on the website or Settings › Privacy in the app.
• AI providers: allow or withdraw in Settings › Privacy in the app.
• Notifications: turn off in your device settings.
• Account deletion: as described in Section 7.
• Access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection: depending on where you live, you may have these rights. Email support@vixelai.com; we respond within the time the law requires.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Vixel accounts are for adults. Vixel is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Parents, teachers, and studios use Vixel to make content for families and children. We do not accept photos, video, or voice recordings of real children, or a child's name, school, location, or other identifying details. Children's drawings, toys, pets, and original characters work well instead.

If you believe a child has given us personal information, or that such material was uploaded, contact support@vixelai.com and we will delete it.

11. International Processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers and AI providers operate.

12. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always posted on this page with its updated date. For material changes, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
